This afternoon, Ulster Hose was dispatched to 60 Old Sawkill Road for a reported porch fire. First arriving units found a fire on the front porch of the residence. Engine 4 arrived on scene, stretched one handline and extinguished the fire without incident. The fire was contained to the exterior porch. Members made entry to check for extension with negative results. All units went in service within an hour.
