Fire In The First Due

At approximately 00:52 hours this morning, Ulster Hose was dispatched for a reported apartment fire at 223 Skytop Drive. Ulster Police arrived first, notifying the 911 center of heavy smoke showing from the front of the building and fire showing from the rear. A second alarm was transmitted and first arriving units found a working fire from a two story row apartment building. An aggressive interior attack was initiated by the first due engine crew, holding the fire to one apartment and causing smoke and water damage to the adjacent apartments. A primary search by the truck company was negative in the fire apartment. Two occupants were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation and units were inservice at 04:23.

Thank you to all of our mutual aid departments, Ulster Police and Mobile Life Support for assisting at the scene.
