Engine 2 to Connelly for House Fire

On Monday July 25, 2016 at approx. 0200 hours Ulster Hose was dispatched mutual aid to Connelly for a house fire with reported people trapped. Cars 1 & 4 responded with Engine 2 fully staffed with 6 volunteers. Car 1 arrived to find heavy fire throughout the building and out most windows. Engine 2 arrived, split crews for fire suppression and primary search. A primary search revealed a victim in the rear kitchen area of the house. Members of Ulster Hose and Port Ewen Fire Dept. removed the victim and began administering medical interventions until care was turned over to EMS. The subject was pronounced dead at HealthAlliance Hospital shortly after. Crews also assisted with overhaul and operated for approximately three hours.
