The Ulster Hose Fire Department protects the 5th fire District of the Town of Ulster, NY. The district which is approximately 13 square miles covers the counties shopping and manufacturing hub, the Hudson Valley Mall, the future iPark87, two elementary schools, a middle school, and a population of approximately 7,000. The fire district is managed by an elected board of five fire commissioners.
Ulster Hose Company #5 which staffs the fire district is an all volunteer company with 80 active members, providing fire and EMS response to the residents and business within our district. The membership also conducts fire prevention and community outreach programs.
